Tips for Writing the Perfect Resume

Looking for a part time job? What about a summer job, or an internship? Your first step will be to write an eye catching resume.

There are several places on campus you can go to get help with resume writing. The career development center and the writing center are always available to assist you with your resume. Many of the residence halls also have programs throughout the year to help you create a resume.
Here are a few tips to writing a resume to get you the perfect job:
·         Put your education, as well as any awards you received ( deans list, provost scholar)
·         Write what your objective is
·         How will you help the company
·         Use power words
·         Be honest
·         What skills do you have for the job?
·         Be clear and concise
·         Be positive
